Where we shine

At Studio Howlett, we design environments across architecture, interiors and landscape with a singular conviction: spaces should endure yet feel alive.

We excel in projects of diverse typologies — from thoughtfully adapted historic buildings to bespoke workplaces, refined hospitality spaces, and homes that evolve with their occupants. Our hallmark is a precise orchestration of craft, material, form and light, creating places that feel inevitable yet unique.

What we offer

ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR DESIGN

A unified approach: whether starting from blank slate or refining an existing structure, we bring architecture and interiors into conversation with one another. Every decision — wall placement, fixture selections, finish palette, custom joinery — works toward one coherent vision.

LANDSCAPE & OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS

Understanding the connection between inside and out defines our work. We shape gardens, terraces and outdoor rooms that complement the building and expand the sense of place. Think of it as architecture that breathes.

FURNISHINGS & STYLING

Beyond walls and the built environment, we curate furniture, textiles and accessories that bring the architecture to life. Our work blends styles and eras with a nuanced use of color and layering — creating interiors that feel singular yet harmonious.

CONSTRUCTION COORDINATION & INSTALLATION

Design doesn’t stop at the drawings. We guide projects through documentation, finish review, bids and on-site oversight, ensuring that every detail — from structural resolution to final furniture install and styling — meets our exacting standards.

GETTING STARTED

Every project starts with a conversation. Reach out through our inquiry form to begin and we’ll arrange a complimentary site visit to learn more, then prepare a custom proposal shaped around your project’s needs and the mix of disciplines involved. Every scope is unique — your proposal is too.

DESIGN PROCESS

We typically meet every 2–3 weeks, moving from concept to detailed design. Along the way, we coordinate with contractors for early pricing and refine the design through construction documents. If furnishings are part of your scope, that work runs in parallel as construction begins.

COMPLETION

During construction, we provide consistent oversight through monthly check-ins and site coordination. For projects with furnishings, we manage procurement and installation to ensure a seamless finish. The process concludes with final styling, photography, and a streamlined handover of your completed space.
